East New York raised many wolves and Thomas Jefferson High started the 90's off with a bang literally. The hood was filled with stand-up brothers that held their own and got down, but wannabes often became accident murderers hitting everything and everyone other than who they wanted. In 1991 a student let off into a crowded hallway shooting another student named Darryl and a computer teacher Mr. Anderson. Then in 1992 good brothers E-Lo and Dizzy got shot in school following a beef that escalated from the hood. I remember seeing homey once by Uptown Comedy Club with an entourage of stallions during the early 90's Marc Buchanan, Jeff Hamilton, Avirex, and North Beach days before the mainstream rappers caught on in the late 90's. Harlem was doing it first with the over the top ridiculous leathers while we were downtown slaughtering Ralph Lauren, Fila, Tacchini, Gucci, and Tommy Hill. I miss them days when you can tell where someone was from by their attire back when each borough had its own identity and uniform.
