There's a point 3/4s into the Live And Let Die were the album kinda slumps but then the album picks back up in the end. On the flip side DC is solid from front to back. G Rap was lyrically better but Cube gets the edge for better subject matter. G rap had a lot of shock rap while cube was spitting street knowledge.

Listened to that album this morning while i was cutting my hair.Live and let die
I got no problem with nikkas pickin DC but im not seeing how Cube was more lyrical

G rap was a signed artist that we know of via Mainstream marketed records. He wasnt some indy artist that everyone knew cause he was just that dope.
And he was never hotter on the streets than cube

The same way The Convicts from Texas were underground. The same way WC and the Maad circle from LA was underground. The same way Common Sense from Chicago was underground. Kool G Rap was top tier undergound in hip hop.

My definition of "underground" is totally different from yours. "Underground" was the shyt not on radio but more word of mouth. The music that wasnt mainstream. Like UGK dropped an album on Jive the same year Live And Let Die dropped. No one calls that album a flop like u are doing now. Thats why u looking funny. When people speak on UGKs first album they judge it on content...not sales.

It implies that the streets were talking about kool g on the streets,more than Cube,which cant be proven.
