Glad to see Cole doing numbers but there is no way he beats Yeezy in first week sales.

If Ye comes in at Under 350k, I don't see Platinum possibly Happening. Both "Yeezus" and "Born Sinner" are going gold. KanYe will have to release some singles or "Yeezus" won't go Platinum. J. Cole got a couple hot joints on deck that could push the album. But KanYe's sales have been dramatically dropping since "Graduation". "Yeezus" will probably be KanYe's lowest selling solo album.

That's pretty much a guarantee at this point tbh

People turned on him after the Taylor Swift shyt. Plus, he hasn't released a traditional "single" since Graduation. I don't think he cares. All Kanye would have to do to sell records is give some half-hearted apology and pen a hit record which he can do in his sleep. Drop two soulful traps and the hip hop heads will come back. Dude honestly doesn't care. I wonder how much he has left on that Def Jam deal.

KanYe has 2 more "Solo" albums on his deal. Believe it or not, even Rappers as Big as Kanye are on that 8 album (Slave) deal ("New Slaves", get it). People forget this but He's basically released 8 LP's including "Cruel Summer" and "Watch The Throne" in 9 years. I don't think that counts towards his solo deal. There is one rumor going around that Kanye rushed this album to hurry up and get off his Def Jam deal.

He technically has 1 album left cause the last album could be a Greatest Hits. Taylor Swift messed him up in the mainstream, as well as his own antics. But KanYe is still very loved in the game. This album is coming in at #1 without a huge blockbuster KanYe single. But your right about him not dropping a traditional single in years. Ye is fine. "Yeezus" can go platinum if he makes videos for "Bound 2, Blackskin Head, Blood on the Leeves". But sadly I think the album is too polarizing. I won't be shocked if it only goes Gold. It's clear audiences are mixed. Critics? Now they love it but the audience has given a mixed reaction of the album.

I personally don't even like this album. I think somebody have convinced themselves into liking it because they love Kanye. It's just not for me, and it's not because of the beats, it's because he didn't try to rap.

If West, Cole and Miller all sell 100,000 of their respective albums this week, it will be the first time since November 2006 that we've had three hip-hop albums debut with 100,000 or more. That Thanksgiving week saw the release of Jay-Z's Kingdom Come (680,000), Snoop Dogg's Tha Blue Carpet Treatment (264,000) and 2Pac's Pac's Life (159,000).

jcole deserves this, and fittingly so does Kanye. I keep trying to give Yeezus a chance but it is just keeps sounding like trash to me. And this is coming from a huge Ye stan, shyt I even love 808's....... I'm gonna listen to it a few more times and hope something clicks

Cole's project got bumped up because of the antics and audacity of Kanye and his fans.

Salute to Cole. Came out of this looking normal and with his chin up, unlike Kanye.
