Yeah I always see comments about Dom being back since last year but my ear too good. I think he did have some type of health issues his camp kept from the public.

Again, he sounded the best I've heard on Double Up the last 2.5 years (shout out to Nip for that) BUT

Nobody can say Dom sound like this today...he don't even adlib like he used to



I don't even think Dom can rap "fast" like this anymore

Dom come with that slow & smooth swag most of the time, but he could always rap when he had to.




He always added that sauce to features also. He was usually outshining these real emcees on tracks.

Dom was like 85-90% prime Dom on Double Up but that 2010-2014/15 Dom might never come back mane.

His voice still kinda off/low energy although this verse had some energy to it, Nip probably made him redo his verse 20 times.

I feel like anybody who says Dom Kennedy is "back" wasn't really a fan of Dom in the first place or wasn't really listening. Homie still sounds uninspired. "Half A Mill" started to give me hope but this verse he gave Nip was some bullshyt.

Double Up verse sounds better to me than the Half A Mil tape tbh lol. But yeah, he still isn't what he used to be. Real Dom fans remember what he really was. I really think he had some health issues cuz his type of style wasn't hard to maintain.

Now I'm actually convinced that it might be some health shyt. Dom knows the importance of this album for Nip. I think he would have gave him a better verse if he could but he simply can't.
