Now alot of people for some reason only look at Wayne's career from The Carter to present, but Wayne could always spit and I was really anticipating this album before it dropped. This was the the Wayne that was too young to cuss on record, but I would argue he was probably better lyrically at this point. I truly think this is a dope album and the production is on point. Mannie Fresh laced this shyt...if you haven't heard it, do yourself a favor and listen to it. here's a few of the better tracks from it.
This album here is an overlooked gem. This is DJ Yella from NWA's only album that was done in tribute to Eazy-E after he passed. It's got alot of skits on it, but it's got some tight features from Kokane, B.G. Knocc Out & Dresta, Dirty Red and a few others. You might remember the single '4 Tha E' that came out in 1996. shyt is tight the whole way through and that Westside Story and That's How I'm Livin is a classic track. Here's a few tracks from it.
