Speaking of j cole, has he been phased out the rap game? :why: Kendrick took his conscious rap lane...drake took that light skin safe looking rapper lane :heh: cole in danger of being irrelevant when he should be in his prime...
Nah Cole just had 4 Your Eyez Only go Platinum, he has his own independent fan base that cops his music, despite not releasing big singles all the time (Drake), or being as lyrical and heavily conscious (Kendrick). He's kind of a regular guy voice compromise between swag/hype supreme (Drake) and heavily engaging/conscious (Kendrick). Interesting enough he's the elder stateman of of his rap class. K-Dot is 30, Drake 31, Cole 33

As a fan of lyricism and dope more classic hip hop beats (boom-bap) that Cole/Kendrick collabo album sitting in the ether with Detox hurts my soul
:mjcry::mjcry::mjcry:, worst part is Schoolboy Q was on The Breakfast Club promoting Blank Face and said he laid a verse for Kendrick and Cole's joint, but he didnt know if they used it. shyt exists, a whole album off "HiiiPoWer" and "Forbidden Fruit" type piff. Why they playing me mane?
:mjcry:. All these trash collabo projects in the last year thrown together in weeks, these brehs probably have too high of standards to rush the project. shyt will end up like the Black Hippy album, nikkas can't get on the same schedule to make high quality piff, the same plagues of Wu-Tang post Wu Forever :mjcry:

Sorry for the random rant, but that shyt makes me feel some type of way :francis:

I came to post this. This album is a modern day classic to me. I just think the subject matter stops people from calling it one. For a trap album, this is perfection.

same here bro! IMO it's Jeezys best album. it may not have had the impact of 101 but as an overall package it's exactly like you said trap perfection with no skippables inlike 101 and 102

That album woulda been good for both of their careers 3 years ago...Kendrick done took off and now j cole’s just not on his level no more...the album, if released (or even recorded), would benefit j cole more at this point...
