I know you hate Hov and that’s one of your gimmicks but I would agree and say these are the weaker tracks. However I have a hard time not skipping ain’t no love those songs you mentioned grow on you if you like The BlueprintGirls Girls Girls, Hola Ovito, Jigga That Nikka are automatic skips
Correct answer is
Illmatic, 7 Day Theory, Low End Theory and Ready to Die
I know they’re dated, but I like skits on albums and that one is funny as a jitonly skip is the sex skit but i’m not counting that
I couldn’t get into DS2. I know it’s regarded as one of his best of not best album it just didn’t click for me. Couldn’t get into A gift & a curse I feel like the narrative around that album is that gunna was against the whole hip hop stigma of snitching and he’s open about how he feels and we never heard gunna sound like this before. He’s serious and even angry making those songs. I wish I knew who he was talking about saying he fukking on nikkas bms, he mentions that a lot over the record. He aired out a lot of shyt like how nikkas don’t fukk him anymore(lil baby in this case) but fukk with executive that ratted (P from QC but he sold it so technically he doesn’t) and how he fukks with 21 savage even though in the streets I guess slaughter gang is overwhelmingly up on the score on 4PF. I didn’t know about any of that since the narrative is that ATL support each other but behind the scenes they beefin. It’s basically just him saying he didn’t know he was a snitch and if anybody got something to say he’ll press you with the locsgunna - A Gift & a Curse
ds2, the wizrd
That’s why I said released at the time. I skip songs on these projects now, but when they dropped I could throw on any track. I remember John Mayer saying how albums shouldn’t be skipped because even if the song is mid it causes a buildup for the next song to be fire and waiting for that fire song is more satisfying than to skip through to your favorite song. I forget what comes after ain’t no nikka but I agree RD my favorite album but I skip the fukk out of that album even when I discovered it.really doesn't exist for me. no matter how classic an album is there's always at least one track I'm not in the mood to listen to. closest thing would be reasonable doubt but I'm skipping aint no nikka more often than not
I never spinned this shyt I know it’s embarrassing but one day I will.
If you took a poll, I guarantee you that at least 90% of people that love Illmatic don't listen to One time for ya mind.Girls Girls Girls, Hola Ovito, Jigga That Nikka are automatic skips

kanye is probably the king in that regard then. specifically late registration and MBDTFThat’s why I said released at the time. Having a skip on an album doesn't mean the song is trash, it could also mean that it's a song that people just have no interest in hearing. I skip at least 4 or 5 songs on RTD. That doesn't mean they are trash songs, I'm just less interested in them as I am in others. The same goes for Low End Theory. I've been listening to that album for over 30 years and there are a couple I skip, but that doesn't mean they are trash.
