so we agree, Illmatic has no skips
no. Because every album has skips to someone haha. Albums that i don't skip, someone may not like one song on it so it's all subjective. A majority of people don't like "one time for ya mind".

An album folk should check out if you not on it: Skyzoo, Cloud 9 the 3 day High.

9th was one of the first producers to really make it a business model to do collab albums and this was his best imo. 12/12 prime 9th production

That was my joint. That album definitely for the whip

If you took a poll, I guarantee you that at least 90% of people that love Illmatic don't listen to One time for ya mind.

Having a skip on an album doesn't mean the song is trash, it could also mean that it's a song that people just have no interest in hearing. I skip at least 4 or 5 songs on RTD. That doesn't mean they are trash songs, I'm just less interested in them as I am in others. The same goes for Low End Theory. I've been listening to that album for over 30 years and there are a couple I skip, but that doesn't mean they are trash.

When the album dropped, Stretch and Bobbito had callers call up to the show to talk about Illmatic. Everyone that called said the album would be perfect without 'One Time 4 Your Mind". That song, as much as I love Large Pro, is the wackest Nas song in the first few years of his career. I always felt like if anyone should have the best tracks with Nas, it should've been Paul. He pretty much discovered him and got murdered by the other producers on Illmatic, lol.

There isn't.

Plenty come close but an end to end project with no skips means all tracks are a balanced equation that hits, continuous. Hasn't happened yet.

Its also nigh on impossible because you end up with the feeling that its a group of singles and not a cohesive project as albums have that ebb and flow sequence which is what made them work so well.

Vary, might. Your mileage.
