yeah, they worked for doom because he's just as weird as the production. my favorite nas beat is probably find ya wealth.
i was gonna bold the parts i disagree with but its quicker to bold what i agree with
and even that.. nas and madlib would be good but definitely not over madvillany type shytquasimoto or beat konducta for sure
edit: wow and its sirbiatch![]()
new avi, new year still terrible
9th wonder has fell off something serious. If he didn't get to make a beat for Nas 15 years ago it's not happening now. He can use them beats on wack ass Rapsody who he's trying to shove down everyone's throat.
True.
Find Ya Wealth is your favorite Nas beat ever? Can't say I like that beat but that's L.E.S, who has made some of the best Nas songs ever. I'd rather hear a new Nas/L.E.S collab than Alc or 9th.
L.E.S. is super dope. Hit or miss, but he's one of the unsung producers of the 90s if you ask me. In the same tier as a Buckwild or maybe a little higher.
Alchemist been on fire for the last few years, come on. I'm not even a big 9th fan anymore but I bet he could lace Nas with something dope.
Agreed. It's a matter of opening his circle. No ID said that his producer friends were shocked he was working with Nas because they said he doesn't really bring new people in. He sticks with his guys and that's that. Obviously he worked with Alchemist in the past but it seems like they're in different lanes now.I used to hate on Salaam Remi until I heard him on Juan Epstein and realized he;d done way more shyt I like than I realized. But I agree. Just cut a couple Salaam joints down and get a few others on there.
The crazy thing is you know if Nas went out to CA or NC for one week that Alc or 9th and him could cook up an entire album and it would be at least 4 mics.
9th would put in major work for Nas at this point. You may prefer Alc and Nas but 9th would still kill it.
Imagine if Madlib or Nottz could get into the picture.![]()
nah
This is one of the best beats on God's Son. Part genius, part total misfire. 00:00 - 00:12 and 00:46 - 01:07 are THE best parts. That mysterious-sounding melody floating in the background is gorgeous. Then that shyt disappearsand you're left with a semi-annoying bare bones beat. Like the fukk happened? shyt sounds incomplete as fukk.
imo the best Nas/Alc collab, and it's not even close:
this my favorite one. but one never knows has a better beat.
