Perfect way to close 1st Infantry.

Showed how much AL from Beverly Hills had in common with Twin from QB.

Thank Gawd, he didn't become that lawyer. :jawalrus:

This song is powerful to me for a lot of reasons. I used to visit the Duke University radio station at night in high school to chill with 9th Wonder and the old Justus League crew while 9th would do his show up there. That's when I really started to pay attention to producers other than Pete/RZA/Preem/Dre.

I remember 9th would always be like "Alchemist killed this here" but I never knew Alchemist was white or anything. I didn't come up rich like Al did, but I remember when I heard this vinyl (Different Worlds) and heard Al rapping, it kind of made me wanna get into the business. I never was interested in rapping, just behind the scenes, A&R stuff, producing.

The way Eminem did it it never really spoke to me. I felt like when I heard Alchemist though, I thought it took a different beast to be able to make the music itself. Definitely was an inspiration.

If anything the song just puts me in nostalgia mode...I can remember all the records that used to get regular spins at Duke. Lots of good times...

1st Infantry dropped right when I lived in my first apartment in college with my boys. We played THE fukk out of that album. One roommate got so sick of the a-a-alchemist drop.

Lots of people didn't like Its a Craze for some reason :mindblown:

As far as playing it with bytches over....I got those same memories buddy. Salute!
