It's all a matter of opinion anyway. He is a nice producer though and the thing is, he ain't never really fell off
Ya, he doesnt have any certified classics, which maybe disqualifies him from the goat. But he has plentyyyyyyy of classic songs. I think when you factor in longevity, Alc definitely has an argument for being a top 5 producer. That said, I can't put him above RZA Pete Rock and Dre, and I can only give him a tie against J Dilla and Madlib. he isn't squarely in my top 5 :ehh:

He makes the top 10 with ease though

we can't start with this shyt here cause we'll be here all day... Madlib nicer than Al and I'm an Al stan. Madlib has a catalogue long enough for you to die on an island with and grow a moses beard and never get through. Versatility is unbelievable. He does have a lot of shyt you may skip though.

EDIT: Just for fairness sake both Madlib and Alchemist are in my top 5.

Albert Einstein is one of the hardest albums ever made :childplease:
:russ: I thought Albert Einstein went hard... but Return of the Mac was definitely better. I probably listened to Return of the Mac for a year and a half straight... a definite personal classic of mine.

Going back to Albert Einstein... as much as I bumped that too I just found out about the Deluxe Edition a couple months ago

Im not saying its one of the most well produced records of all time... but those beats are just savage :wow:

I actually prefer it to Return of the Mac, because its so left field and progressive. I listen to mad soul and funk records, so Return of the Mac aint alter my consciousness or anything crazy like that.. Still an outstanding record though

The reason why I love Return of the Mac so much is because it was when everybody thought Bandana P was done. When that shyt dropped I was just like :mjcry: :blessed: for a year

But like I said, I have no problem with Albert Einstein and thought it was hella dope. Still bump it all the time
