as a person that never drank, is it really that hard to quit or drink in moderation?

but then again I have few fam members that are straight alcoholics, always down playing their addiction.

I don't think I am missing out :yeshrug:

Maybe it’s something you two can work on together.
Its on me. My mother can do whatever she wants :yeshrug:

She's a tenured professor. So she can sit back and drink.

Im 25 and I aint done shyt. I gotta get it together. And after a week of sobriety, I'll definitely tell her its time for her to chill out too

shyts true.

now would probably be the best time to quit since there ain't parties to go to and you can just avoid all the alcohol commercials on TV cus there is no sports to watch, that used to be my hardest shyt when i was trying to cutback, but these times boring as hell and could easily turn someone into a deeper hole.

:francis:

i wish yall luck.

Yes, I know from personal experience. Once you reach a certain level, you need alcohol to survive. If you don’t drink, you will get the shakes, and then you could have a deadly seizure.

Alcohol and benzos are like the only two drugs where the withdrawal can kill you (and both drugs work on the same part of the brain).

Opiate withdrawal will make you feel like you’re dying, but you won’t. You’ll just get very sick

Seen a few folks including my late uncle go out real bad from heavy drinking. Alcoholism is a slow death OP.

You're gonna go through it badly with your moms if she dont let the dragon go. So dont turn around and put your fam in that same hell when the pain and deterioration starts setting in.

I went thru a bottle of ciroc, henny, and Tito’s last week. This shyt get expensive
See most people wouldn't consider you an alchy but I've worked at an ABC store and its amazing. How generally people who are alcoholics stick to they shyt. You have a few nikkas like me on that low tip, but honestly the majority of drunks...man they spend a shyt load of money. Had a white guy buy Glenlivet buy a bout a 50 buck bottle every other day. And sometimes the next day, Ain't no WAY. Dude was probably spending a g a month on that shyt.

Which is why people saying alcohol and liquor stores weren't essential is bullshyt. You would have a crisis on your hands if everyone who drank suddenly had to go cold turkey.

that’s what I try and tell my parents and family. But some of my family might buy a bottle and that shyt last like a month. I be going thru mine in a day or 2 so they think I’m an alcoholic

Honestly you prolly are as am i. But we ain't lost our gotdamn mind either. I'm not in that mans pocket to say what he can and cant afford BUT, I'm sure that shyt puts a whooping on his ass monthly. shyt i drank, I'm good. still can save, still can budget, It might taste like shyt, but i don't got to drink like a king. shyt the one thing that separates alcohol from other drugs is, you don't need the good shyt to get you fukked up. I ain't never heard a nikka call some colt 45's "Reggie" drink enough of them hoes. you'll be aight. you might feel like shyt. but you gonna get where you wanted to be. lol
