McNair was damn near ruined by Jeff Fisher. What's more fukked up is that through McNair's will and perseverance he still got the Titans to the Super Bowl despite Fisher being a shyt coach. And Fisher made a lot of money off that Super Bowl run. :francis:
I used to clown the Fisher ruined Vince Young thing....but this past super bowl and looking at the performances of other qbs that were under Fisher’s tenure made me re-think things. Along with Fisher being ass and Black qbs not trully given second chances, he was ruined by him.

From what I remember at the time, Steve had a house that his moms was living in, and his wife had his moms evicted. The story as I remember it was that she thought his moms was helping him conceal his cheating and that she knew about his jumpoffs. So out of spite she got her up out the house. And then she supposedly had something legal done to where only her two kids with him would get and claim to an inheritance, not his other two from the previous relationship.

This 4th of July was another bombshell for Lucille McNair. It was two years ago her famous son was murdered. Now Steve McNair's mother is being sued by Steve's widow Mechelle.

Lucille McNair spoke with Channel 4 over the phone Monday from her home in Collins, Miss. She said this whole week has been difficult for her, remembering what happened two years ago. But this year what hurt the most, was getting served with papers.

Lucille McNair meant the world to her famous son. They grew up Mississippi poor, so when Steve struck NFL gold, he built a 45-acre ranch for his mom on what came to be called, Air McNair road in Collins, Miss.

The ranch and the property was a gift to his mother. She lived there, no strings attached, for the past 13 years, until now.

"They wanted me to pay $3,000 a month, rent," Lucille said Monday on the phone.

When Steve McNair was murdered July 4, 2009, he didn't leave a will, which complicated everything.

Lucille couldn't afford to pay rent at the ranch, so in May, she had to move out. She was at her new home this weekend mourning her son, when FedEx delivered a letter from Mechelle McNair's lawyers.

The letter explains that she must pay $54,363 to her son's estate for appliances and property she took from the ranch.

"They took everything from me and so now they want me to put the contents back in, that I purchased," Lucille said.

Lucille talked about how much that house meant to her because it was a gift from the former Titans quarterback.

"He had told me that he was going to make sure I have what they didn't have when they were growing up," said Lucille.

Although the letter is upsetting, it's the timing that hurts the most.

"It wasn't no coincidence. Just the day of, the Saturday of his death, that's what really upset me. It was the Saturday and approximately the same time that Steve passed," Lucille said.

Lucille came to Nashville in June to look at the crime scene photos and find closure regarding her son's death. However she said she said she didn't get closure and just has a gut feeling, what she calls a 'mother's instinct' that the murder-suicide theory isn't how her son died.

Channel 4 reached out to Mechelle McNair through a spokesperson for comment, but our calls were not returned.

Steve McNair's estate is listed at approximately $19.6 million in value. That does not include separate stocks and bonds, his farm in Mississippi and his share in the Gridiron 9 restaurant that he opened near Tennessee State University in North Nashville.

I remember how hyped the city was drafting McNair, I was so young all I remember was why did we get rid of Warren.

What couldve been, & it'll forever be Fck Bud Adams in this town.

Real shyt. I’m still mad af they took the team name and history. Even though I’m not a fan of them the Texans should be named the Oilers.

You really think a mother would blow her son in to his wife about his transgressions?:hhh:

It’s not his mother’s business, and she didn’t “allow” him to do anything. He’s a millionaire athlete. He did what he wanted to do. His wife knew how he was living and had no issue as long as she was eating good. To not take care of his mother when he was literally the only reason why his wife could put clothes on her back is foul.
