(He didn't support Trump though, so I guess there's that.)

.

All those times Cheeto called him a loser and had his doormen say A-Rod was one of the worse tenants ever to the press on ny. I'm not surprised he didn't support him.

probably paying him $10 million a year for 2-3 days a week work ..
Exactly, just build it up like Strahan gets paid to appear on GMA

This mentality is what's wrong with this country btw. You basically just said it's cool being a callous b*stard once you have bread. In others words, fukk everyone but yourself. He has money so it's no surprise that he supports racist a$$holes that push policies that exploit poor people. You made it seem like a foregone thing instead of an active decision he made. The vast majority of black and Latino athletes are not republicans. fukk out of here.
This is true but what can we do about it at this point?
But wouldn't you say that wealth tends to veer people more to the right? Not saying this is the case for all but we can't act like the wealthy don't agree with a lot of what Rethugs have to say or do. I don't think @tremonthustler1 is saying that it's cool to be a callous b*stard, but rather than once people become wealthy many of them also become a$$holes and need policies that reflect that. Acknowledging those negatives are important imo because it will only help improve things.
Exactly.

Rich white people beef toward being Republican. People of color vote Democrat regardless of salary. And to be frank, Democrats are a party for the well off too in a lot of ways so there's really no excuse. That point is simplistic. Jeter supported Obama and has been a star since 96. As a matter of fact, A Rod is one of the few high profile people of color who is Republican. Being a fiscal conservative and supporting republicans are two different things. Jay Z grew up in a ghetto, why is he not a Republican? What about Michael Jordan? He never went the O.J. route. A Rod is just a selfish a$$holes, money didn't make him that way. It revealed it.

He's part of a team with Jeb Bush to try and buy the Marlins.
Recently, Tagg Romney (yes, THAT Romney family) tried to get Jeter to dump Jeb and join his bid for the Marlins.

Romney group told Jeter to dump Bush, join their bid for Marlins
So this whole political stuff is more complicated than one might think.

Just because ALL don't do it doesn't mean there aren't those that do. For this handful of examples you gave me there are a slew which fit the mold that was described. So we don't live in a country where the wealthy aren't looking to protect their funds and increase them at all costs? There isn't a budget being proposed that will provide more tax cuts for the most wealthy citizens? You tellin me all these rich people oppose that? Everyone is like MJ or Jeter when they become wealthy? Sellouts don't exist? I know their are exceptions, but that's just what they are, exceptions. You're right though, Dems are definitely the other side of the same coin so it'd be foolish to make it a good vs evil thing with regards to Dems/Reps. fukk both of them.

Jeter donated to Obama (his only donation on public record) and they became friends later.

He's trying to use Jeb's money to buy a team, now that Jeb's political career is dead. It's not great, but it's not the same as putting money towards an actual political campaign for someone as awful as Ted Poe.

Like I said, good for Alex for getting this gig, but ABC needs to keep him away from certain news areas for everyone involved's good.

A lot of conservatives voted for Barack Obama. And hell, a lot more conservatives actually LIKE Obama. That doesn't mean anything.

And while whom you align yourself with in business doesn't necessarily reflect your own political ideology, it has the same amount of importance (or irrelevance) as whom you might have voted for -- given the interests at hand.
