Arod will never retire, since he stands to lose over a hundred million dollars.
Yankees can:
- Keep him and pay him in full
- Work out a settlement that pays him almost all that is left just to have him leave.
- They can keep him on the bench to keep him from reaching his incentives in his contracts (homerun milestones).
Yankees probably wont even get rid of him till after next year since if he misses all of this year, next year's salary is covered by insurance.

2005 HR Derby they had the countries go at it, so Abreu was reppin Venezuela, Ortiz DR, etc. Abreu went on that tear where he hit all those HR's and set the record at the time. All the Venezuelan players were there with the flag celebrating with Abreu after the round was over. Then Ortiz comes in and does his thing to advance. All the Dominicans come out and start celebrating. You got A-Rod who wasn't even in uniform come outta nowhere and jump up and down with the rest of the Dominicans.

Look, dead serious: I do not care about Jeter vs. A-Rod. At least beyond joking about it. I can't stand A-Rod because he is so transparently disingenuous, so insecure, so unlikeable, and most of all he has had so many despicable moments on the field. He's fukking corny and he's fukking phony.
Jeter definitely has done A-Rod no favors, has purposely left him twisting in the wind, and gives no fukks about him regardless of the best interests of the team. But given the fact that he actually knows A-Rod, has spent countless hours with and around him, I understand his disgust is probably rooted in legitimate rationale.
