for some context sarr went 10-19 24pts in the 1st half, nuggets up 72-63. 2nd half sarr went 2-9 10 pts. their issue wasnt sarr torching jokic, their issue was their offense went into the toilet in the 3rd qtr and jordan poole couldnt miss late in the 4th quarter. that and their offense wasnt executing great late in the 4th either, went up 112-104 then scored 11 pts the final 6:35.
the nuggets are much worse this year defensively, theyve gone from 8th in defensive rating last year to 23rd. jokic obviously isnt a good rim protector but this is also the first year since his first mvp where their defense is worse with him on the floor. getting gordon healthy will help but none of their top 6 players in minutes this year has a positive defensive on/off rating.

For however bad you think Jokic's effort is on that end, Shaq's was worse when he was in LA, and many consider him the most dominant big to play the game.
