"carry at team" as in Alex Smith having to be great for 1 or 2 key drives during games. carry as in winning 2 or 3 games during the season based on his play.

Alex Smith is not that good. He's limited as far as what the offense can do. No vertical passing game. dink and dunk ass nikka.

Well if the criteria is one key drive per game....I can point out the Saints drive from the offs my point, as usual , is that defense dictates everything. I agree Alex is limited, but your saying he needs defense to win is an oxymoron. All non-elite qbs need good defenses to win. shyt even Arod needs a defense and online to win, evidently.

Sure and a QB needs a receiver to catch the ball. A receiver needs hands to better their chances of catching the ball. A running back needs two feet to run good and I need direct tv if I want to see all the games every week in HD without bootlegging. The sky is clear (not blue, that's just the sun reflecting off the atmosphere) and water is wet. That doesn't change the fact that Alex Smith is a middle of the pack average at best QB that limits what your team can do passing the damn ball.

The Chiefs Defense is holdin shyt down. I don't hate Alex Smith Man, dude is a very pedstrian QB. He doesn't stretch the filed like Kaep does.

But Smith has avoided big mistakes and costly turnovers. All those dump off passes, middle screens and quick slants to Avery and Jamal Charles rack up big gains.

Say what you want, that defense is pretty much the same and they were 2-14 last year,

I love KC's D, but the stability Alex brings has a lot to do with the success of the team right now.
