The Chiefs Defense is holdin shyt down. I don't hate Alex Smith Man, dude is a very pedstrian QB. He doesn't stretch the filed like Kaep does.

But Smith has avoided big mistakes and costly turnovers. All those dump off passes, middle screens and quick slants to Avery and Jamal Charles rack up big gains.

That's really the key thing with Alex. He doesn't have the arm to stretch the field like a Kaep or others do but he won't put your offense in any trouble & for a team like the Chiefs that's huge. He's had a big impact on the change of the culture around the team as well. He frustrates the hell out of me at times when watching games but he gets it done.

Alex Smith ain't a front runner though. I see many QB's lose games when they got cocky and start making unnecessary throws.

But Joe Flacco is the evolved form of Alex Smith and will carry a team for a game or 1/2 if need be.....but is not afraid to check down so you can fight another drive.
