Peyton could still anticipate plays/throws and would take chances, for better or worse. Smith can't/won't do any of that. Stafford would look like Montana in comparison if he went there. You would think I would make a counter-argument to this, but I'm not. Time for the Chiefs to start looking for a better QB. Alex Smith is now at the point where he's just placeholding now.

That combination may be whats preventing Chiefs to make it to the SB let alone winning it. It would have to be the perfect set up...meaning Big Ben and Brady retiring or severely regressing, Belichek retiring, Colts not getting enough talent for Luck, etc. as well as getting the right opponent in the NFC. Reid is a good coach overall but has some glaring flaws with time management and situational football. The Boys coach has some somewhat similar flaws...its just Reid has a HUGE track record with different teams.
True but with Denver's D of last season...he may can do it.
Reid and smith were great choices at the time to take over the worst team in football,lead them to respectability, and that should be appreciated. But they need now a coach and QB who can put them over the top.
