I'm literally just now hearing about this, been a long day.

I'm glad the KC era is over but we basically just traded for a Equate version of the same player... Alex Smith can't elevate a team and neither can Kirk. I think it also means we will be drafting a QB in the earlier rounds and smith is a gatekeeper. I also think this was a STUPID MOVE.

Reason being we still have Colt Mccoy on our roster. Dude can do the same things Smith can do but even better. He doesnt have a strong arm but he takes risks and he is mobile. It would have been more economically feasible to go with Colt and draft the future early.

It was asinine how management let Kirk get two franchise tag deals like that and in the end it got us nowhere. I could care less about the extension. It doesn't mean shyt. I always liked Alex Smith but I know his limitations. This team will not succeed with the offensive weapons we have, we also very poorly coached. But I never like KC and I'm glad he's gone....

Let's destroy and rebuild....
