She's spot on!
of course she is. this aint rocket science people. i tried to explain this to yall when yall were crying about obamacare costing too much vs the old way.

people for some reason love to sound like corporations when the corporations dont care about them.

people still dont get it. if you had universal healthcare. do you know how many single mothers or lower income families are stuck at dead end soley due to the fact that they have good healthcare for themselves and their kids? Do you understand what would happen if we had universal healthcare and how that would lead a drove of people out of these dead end jobs because the fear of losing your healthcare for your kids would be gone. The fear of losing healthcare for your ailing family member would be gone. This is part of the money that never gets factored in. You would have more people willing to work as contractors which usually pays more per hour than non contract work. Why? because they already have healthcare to cover the just in case situations.

This aint hard to figure out. but for decades us regulars have been sold lies about the US spending. and not understanding the US is not to be spoke about like its our personal budget(which you hear some people do all the time) its not a corporation. It's more of a non profit organization. Whatever money we can gin up. we the US are to use that money to increase are livelihood. its really that simple. Ask me if i care about the US GDP going up if i can't tell the difference? I'm supposed to feel that difference. The reason we have roads, airports, trains, etc. Is because we the people invested in our country and our country gave us a return on that investment by way of transportation and roads, etc. thats how it works. We pool our money as citizens to get big things done that would cost us a fortune to do individually or within smaller groups. healthcare is out of hand when it comes to the cost. So is education. It's time for us to overhaul those systems while also pooling our money together to pay for them so we wont pay as much individually.

Again, ask me if I care if it costs the entire country 5 trillion for both. when I do the math and My monthly payment to both goes down by 40%.

I told yall before, we need people to start pulling out the markers on the white board and start putting up simple quick math to show how it works.

I mean, she's right. The rest of the developed world does this already. It's a proven model. But, the "socialism" term has a lot of baggage around it. The average, unaware American here's "socialism" and turns right away without actually thinking about the concept. They should just use a new word :manny:

Is her race that much of a lock that she can spend all this time doing things other than campaigning for the seat she's running for?

She's won her primary. Advocating for other Progressive candidates across the country helps her image and allows her to sharpen and perfect her message. By the time, the general election comes up she'll be able to work any interview and question concerning her politics and campaign. Also, her going across the country and spreading the message helps Cynthia Nixon as well.

Put another way the constant exposure helps her campaign and she has until October to be in her home district anyway.

I’m for Medicare for all, but are there any concrete ideas on how to make that transition?

Employers currently pay on average 83% of the premiums. How would the money which employers pay be included in a Medicare for all?

For this plan to win Support, individuals can’t pay more in taxes to support the plan than they are already paying to employer plans.

So taxes must be less than or equal to: (monthly payment + payroll medicare tax) then. I think that's doable.

using a new word would just get pushed back by even dems as "so and so is just a socialist..i dont know what this new word they are saying but its basically socialism." I still remember when I was like 8 years old in elementary school my teacher had us doing a project learning about all the different types of governments around the world from then all the way back to the beginning of the US. and at the end of the assignment she asked that all of us come up with a one that we agree with.

99.9% of the kids said what she wanted to hear which was basically saying what America was at the time. I being me, said I would like a mix between what we have now, socialism and communism. The teacher went nuts and got mad. First time i seen her mad all year. Thats when i realized at the age of 8 how brainwashed people really are even those who know the definitions of each. I even explained why I wanted a little bit of all of them to make a great country. didnt matter, she heard socialism and communism and lost it. she never took the time to listen to my reasoning. didnt care. so think about that for a moment. thats a fully grown woman thats a teacher, teaching little kids and she didnt have the heart or the mentality to listen. she heard a bad buzz word or two and lost her mind. imagine how the non educated act when they hear actual politicians talking about things and someone calls them a socialist or a communist. its pathetic to be honest. I feel like we're trapped in a society with a bunch of idiots and over reactors. no one seems to calm the hell down and take a look at the real information then measure it from there.

Oh, I fully believe 95% of people in the world have been brainwashed and don't think about anything critically at all. I mean, if you just take one sociology class, you would come to realize that school is just a method of socialization created to make "red blooded" Americans that bow down to authority and tow the line. School is brainwashing; that's the point of it, unfortunately. :francis:
