Cool.

I'm looking into buying an old something to drive to and from work, and other quick trips
to save money on gas, etc. Thinking about a Ford Focus or something.

Yeah keeping a $1,200 car is going to keep him from going broke:sitdown:

But if he spends $15,00-$20,000 on a decent everyday car, it won't make him go broke either. Guys are over exaggerrating the fact.

It's ok to buy a decent car, 1 or 2 cars...nothing wring with that financially

How you in the NFL driving that c'mon dude..it's ok to spend just don't go overboard with it

Read the article breh. He has made about $45k before taxes up until now. I would be still driving my 99 civic if I came into the league out of college. I don't blame him, plus I would :troll: those beautiful women in DC. If I step them in my car and they diss me. I would tell them to catch me on fox every Sunday. :lolbron:

If his 1991 Mazda is running fine, he should still drive it. Cars are not an asset and you only lose money. Now, a new car may increase the amount of p*ssy you get thrown at ya, but you still lose money

True, but he ain't in them dudes shoes. 15-20k on a car for a young pro football player won't mean anything, especially when he will be making 6 figures or better. Jewels and other superficial stuff are different, you can sell that bs back, but someone will always need a everyday car in the world.

Good motor in those cars. The 2000s to 2003s are real cheap right now and would be a good everyday car. The transmission can be jerky at times, but these cars rarely cause you any problems until you get like 210k in mileage on em. It'll be a smart move. You can preserve the life of your newer car by at least 6 years by using an older car as your main workhorse. Just make sure you buy the older car with cash. No loans on anything older than a 2004 if you can avoid it
