Ali

He faced cats with Tyson level power in Frazier and Foreman. Ali's chin is super underrated....he could eat hard punches. Ali in his prime is too fast and had too much reach for Tyson to get close enough to do damage

A better comparison is prime Tyson vs prime Frazier

Two very similar fighters...both shorter compact bulldogs who kept pressing against their opponents
shyt...Earnie Shavers was a harder puncher than all of the opponents Ali fought.

So you going to act like Ali didn't eat Foreman body shots round after round. Yes some caught elbows but a lot landed clean and that's with Foreman being able to load up on them too. Ali ate body shots from plenty of opponents with great power. Ali took clean shots to the head from Ernie Shavers who many have as the strongest heavyweight puncher ever. You bugging thinking anybody would fold Ali up.

Ali in Manila is perhaps the best display of absorbing body shots. It was over 100 degrees in the ring and Frazier spend the middle rounds absolutely killing his body. Ali not only took them, but finished stronger and beat the hell out of Frazier in the last couple of rounds.

I always thought Ferdie Pacheco was a smug a$$hole whenever I saw him on Showtime or some documentary but I respect him for refusing to work with Ali later on and trying to convince him to retire. Ali kidneys were failing from all the damage he took in his career.

Tyson is basically a frazier clone. They look pretty much the same when they fight. The head bobbing ducking and weaving style. But I feel like tyson has more power and explosiveness than frazier though. But Frazier's pedigree shows that he was clearly a better fighter, he not losing to Buster Douglas. Ali is better than any fighter Tyson has ever faced and if he struggled against Holyfield and Lennox Lewis, he doesn't stand and chance against Ali.

Tyson's biggest advantage was psychological. If any part of you had fear, the fight was lost before it began.

Ali wouldn't have been afraid of Tyson. He would respect his power but wouldn't run from it. Ali had an iron chin and Tyson likely gets frustrated when nothing works.

I'm thinking about how Holyfield fought him by just not being scared. Ali would present the same challenge while being a bigger, faster version of Holyfield.

Post-forced hiatus Ali beats Tyson, let alone a prime Ali.

Ali faced harder punchers and didn’t get dropped.

Tyson wasn’t really all that with comparison to the all time great heavyweights.

Tyson's record against actual good fighters is like 0-3. I can't say he'd beat Ali unless you can point out some hall fame level fighter Tyson actually beat. who's the best fighter Tyson beat? Larry Holmes? :mjlol:

A past prime Holmes at that.

Prime Holmes would have beat the shyt out of Tyson.
