In reading through this thread, it's funny and apparent that NOBODY understands how major labels operate.
Alicia Keys was/is an extraordinary talent. Her first album was insane.
That's how the labels suck the fans in, they let the artist be an artist. Then the label 100% dictates where the artists go musically from there.
The label 100% forces her and every other artist to conform and make the songs that they tell her.
So yall sayin she got wack, why is she doing this etc. It isn't her, she's nothing but a puppet.

It always dawned on me even when she was hot that she was the product of having a great team of producers and writers around her
