I didn’t understand the second half of episode 3. Why was Wendy feeling that and what was the organ in the tank the alien tad pole went into? And what’s the android up to?

It looked like a lung. They’re essentially bags and look like it outside the body, and not inflated.

Telepaths and telekinesis are a part of alien lore. It’s mostly in the comics and theorized in some movies (there’s a theory Newt is a telepath).

They explain at the beginning of the series that the kids are special, but they don’t explain why. I assume it’s for different reasons, and not just because they’re terminally ill.

Kid Wendy’s big ass head, her uncanny ability to find her brother, her ability to exploit and manipulate devices to do what she needs, and her ability to “hear” the xeno/facehugger/eggs all lead me to believe that she’s a telepath and doesn’t know it.

I think the showrunner is a fan of the dark horse comics because the show reminds me of a few different stories a mixed together.

I'm enjoying the show.

Morrow steals every scene. That actor has great screen presence. I thought he was going to ask Yutani to send reinforcements because he put a tracker on Slightly but he seems to want the specimens for his own purpose. I'm wondering what his end game is and what he's going to use Slightly for.

I thought Slightly and Smee would be annoying after the first two episodes but they're funny. That interaction with Morrow was a great scene. I don't want anything bad to happen to them :sadcam:

Curly is going to be a problem. Her ambitions might be the reason all those specimens get out.

Nibs going through it.

Have we ever seen that tadpole inside the facehugger before? I'm assuming that's what they inject into their host. Now I'm wondering if it can spawn from just an organ. That's going to be a useless transformation if it can.

I think he’s trying to grab on to any and every leverage he can use to keep Weyland-Yutani from killing him.

He expressed that he understands that he and his crew were expendable. We already know from previous Alien stories that the company can be the most ruthless of all the others, and they only reward the most ruthless of their employees. The newer Marvel Alien comics focus on this a lot. Whenever employees are introduced, their motivation is usually survival or escape from the bottom rung of the company ladder. The only way they can usually achieve this is by sacrificing everyone around them to show their dedication to the company as an offering. When they’re successful a senior company voice usually fulfills their wishes.

He put all the science and trip data in his own head and seemed to be trying to capture the Xeno so he would have something to offer the company, making him not so expendable. WY would wipe him out of existence if he came back empty handed, or ruined the samples by trying to save the crew.

I think the tadpoles are what’s injected into the larynx or esophagus of the host. I just read that it may have been double retconned between this and Romulus lol. OG alien showed that the facehugger placed an object in Kane. The other source was saying it’s black good that tells the body to produce a Xeno on its own. They grow rapidly, break out, then keep growing fast af. Who knows what’s going to be canon after this lol.

They took the brother‘s (or as someone called him Mr. 3/10:dead:) lung out. She wasn’t feeling but hearing it scream. In one of then1st episodes they established that she can hear well above whatever range they had planned for her. Remember when they got to the crash site she asked one of the other kids if they could “hear that”.

:ohhh:
That’s a good point. I’m probably overthinking it by assuming a future telepathy reveal.

First 2 episodes were more expositionary, but I feel like we're getting into the meat of the show now. 3rd episode is fire. They have some great characters / actors in this.

I like that they chose to make the xenomorph close to how it looks in the original movie, all the other films had slightly different looking versions.

Morrow doesn't strike me as someone who's afraid to die. Everytime he's faced the xeno he held it together. The fact that he was gone for 65 years and lost everyone he knows tells me he's doing this for him. He went through hell for those specimens so I think he sees that as his personal cause more than just doing it for Yutani.

On the official podcast, the actor playing him said Morrow was basically a top of the line iPhone 1 when he left the planet and came back to a planet full of iPhone 50s

Episode 3 Metamorphosis was good once again. Yes Wendy going ham in the elevator was a little shocking to me because I thought this Xeno was the main one for the show but obviously with eggs there's going to be more. I know people are going to roll their eyes at her doing that but she does have an advanced body though her mind is a child. Of course Wendy and her Brother have some "Plot Armor" as writers would call it because they are main characters. But at least they both almost died fighting it. It wouldn't not have been believable if they both came out of that unscathed.

But Wendy's brother organs are being experimented on. Murrow and Timothy Olyphant characters are killing it man. They both are very good actors. Again what I love about this show is it's through the eyes of the corporations hunt and obsession with the alien specimens. What's crazy is this concept should have been used in one of the Alien films about an Alien running on Earth or a Planet with a futuristic City. Yes they did it in "Predator 2" but this is a different beast all together.

Again this is a Television show so the story will be spread out. I'm expecting to not like one episode at some point but Noah did a great job thus far. This joint reminds me of how good "V: The Final Battle" series was back in the 80's. On to Episode 4: Observation. That title clearly shows they are developing a new Xeno in the lab. I also expect the specimens to escape and attack the Neverland Island and Prodigy corporation. Those dummies think they can contain that stuff. I also believe Murrow will stop at nothing to get those specimens. It's clear Wayland Yutani is probably going to kill him if he doesn't bring them back. Also Ms. Yutani isn't playing around. Her family spent a lot of money and years to get those aliens.

Folks acting like the Alien IP is known for quality. The first two movies are legit pinnacle sci-fi but the remainder can be experienced through wikipedia without missing anything at all.

I watch for the visuals alone at this point. Ever since Prometheus i been thinking "Damn, i wish this style of tech and lore was able to be used separately from the Alien story". Like if the Xenomorphs were just a 2 movie arc and now humanity is off dealing with something else. Cause clearly, they have no fukking clue what to do with this now.

They could easily fix this shyt.

After the last movie.
Yet they will not.

All they have to do. Is have the intiative of ol girl preserved.
Till they rescue ripley, newt and hicks.

Then move the series into newt as rhe hero following the dark horse mag.

Yet they gon fukk it up again.

Art Barr

Bring back newt.
or this series dies. Period.

They immediately killed off Newt and Hicks in Alien 3.

Are you saying they disregarded that dumb shyt in the comics?
