great episode

I thought Morrow was a synth this entire time. This nikka is the winter solider who stopped giving a fukk
I'm confused tho

I thought Teng was a synthetic but he screamed when the Xeno killed him, meaning he's human. Becuz why tf would a synthetic scream cuz of a Xeno. Synthetics don't have any fear
I think there is more there too, Teng was a jbo breh who experienced his own emotions

So my theory about the eyeball being able to speak in the right host was wrong but it did seem to communicate with the xeno? Either way I'm still interested. Was it trying to warn the doctor because its against the xenos and other parasites or was it just trying to protect potential hosts?

Dope episode. Morrow's actor can really carry a show

I think it’s just about survival. The eye can’t find better hosts (to become the apex) if the Xenomorph keeps killing them. The Xenomorph unwittingly had it cornered so it fought to keep its host, and future hosts.

The unforgiving environment they come from probably keeps them outside of each other’s food chain. It’s like a hyena trying to keep a baby antelope away from a Lion.

Nothing about that interaction, and the way the eye survives, said protection to me

:ohhh: The most surprising moment on the show so far...one thing I NEVER would have predicted.

That Eyeball Octopus monster literally tried to WARN the doctor that she was about to get infected by an alien. Even MORROW didn't do that when he saw the Engineering Apprentice about to drink the tadpoles.

Seems like this thing actually has some weird type of ... honor? Does it want to warn the human victim because it hates to see lesser beings suffer for no reason?

Part of me wonders if there's some slight chance the Eyeball has some "anti-heroic" tendencies (like Morrow) and only kills when its part of "the mission"...and "the mission" currently being to kill Xenomorphs.

This episode was grade A Science fiction.

So the 1 eyed creature is super intelligent and some type of protector???

:wow:
I think it was trying to save her for itself because I’m sure it would have jumped in her eye the 1st chance it got. I can’t understand why it went after the chick when it was in Shmuel tho. It going after the xenomorph makes sense though because Shmuel’s body was dying and it’s a better predator than humans, at least to me that makes sense because we’ve seen it go after a higher species twice already before this episode.

Yeah... making him look like an Android was a red herring the whole time. He just liked to look at girls sleeping :what:

Not a "protector" ... But a more highly evolved version of the "Predator" concept maybe.

It KNOWS its the top of the food chain..
So it doesn't need to kill at random.

yeah i assumed malice or animal indifference when they introduced the eyetopus....i'm quite intruiged now

EDIT: also, the way the Zaveri absolutely froze up and fukked everything up...actually makes Ripley more bout that action and heroic...imagine switching places...Zaveri would've died at the table in Alien 1
