It's stupid for Yutani to think Prodigy would just sell them back these aliens that will make Weyland-Yutani trillons. The whole negotiation meeting was as pointless as the Dame Dash interview. And where tf is Weyland or his daughter during all this? :dahell:We know he's still alive since Prometheus takes place after Alien Earth. Shouldn't he have a say in the negotiations or plans to get the aliens back. Naw let's just put all our faith in Hybrinder to do the job. The writing on this show makes no sense.
Nah Prometheus is before Earth. Peter Weyland was dead in that movie and his recorded message was from 2090 (Alien Earth is 2120) Google Image Result for https://preview.redd.it/timeline-for-all-alien-live-action-projects-by-now-v0-x797m18xv82e1.jpeg?width=640&crop=smart&auto=webp&s=160954b96c6866a2adaf5b3bef3a5330c0b0ef06

I think the corporation just found a new buyer or sum and it’s why we seeing the Asian chic.

This was the weakest episode of the season.

It's extremely anticlimactic to have Morrow get captured like that. They walked right into a trap. Unless that's part of the plan to get inside to retrieve the other specimens it undid all the effort they spent building up their best character.

It didn't progress the story enough and now they have only one episode to wrap everything up. There's a lot left to cover and now with Boy wanting to implant T Ocellus into a human (better not be Morrow) that's something major that they need to spend time on.

Did Ocellus answer the Pi question or was it just messing with Boy?

Wendy controlling the Xeno has been set up all season but I'm not sure I like the execution. Just too reminiscent of Blue from Jurassic Park. It's probably going to fight the other Xeno but I think I'd prefer the one Wendy controls getting back to its purpose when it encounters it's own kind. The presence of another Xeno should sever its ties to Wendy. At some point she needs to a mistake thinking she has power over a wild creature.

We still don't know what Kirsh is up to.

This doesn't leave me with confidence that they'll stick the landing with the finale. Probably going to be some major loose ends that'll be held for season 2.

I don't understand the level of push back on the alien/Wendy thing.

The hybrid alien in "Resurrection" literally killed an alien queen to protect Ripley, who it seen as it's mother.

There's a million reasons to criticize "Resurrection" but I don't recall any issues with that scene. And it's silly to compare this to "Jurassic Park" when the precedent was set in this franchise 20+ years ago. Not to mention in the comics as well.

If you all still don't like it :manny: but it didn't come out of nowhere and has nothing to do with Disney.

I wasn’t expecting a good show when Alien Earth was announced. No one was. So to not get an Excellent show and instead a Good show, I’m not going to complain.

Watching last night, my wife who isn’t familiar with the Alien franchise and was surprised to find out it’s been around since 1979, said “hey, this show is like Invasion (on Apple TV) where the kids can control the aliens” and I was like…

:francis:

It IS the same show.

the Weyland-Yutani name is just there for branding like Warner Bros Discovery where Discovery bought WB and just kept the name. Yutani owns/controls the company. There's no Weylands left because Promethus happened decades before this and Yutani won the bidding war for the company in 2099.

Is Weyland-Yutani ever mentioned in any of the Alien films since this takes place before? I swear it's just Weyland Corp in all those movies.

You still have Michael Bishop Weyland showing up in Alien 3. He’s an inventor who was part of another company that was acquired by or works with W-Y, but he’s also a descendant of Peter Weyland.
