The best way view it based on the way Kavalier posited, is he used pi because wherever the eye has been and is from there's circles. If there's some form of intelligent design there has to be some manifestation or application of pi

That's what I concluded. It's not just piloting the body it has access to it's mind so it's picking up and retaining the knowledge of everything it takes over. It got that engineer on the ship so it might understand English and is fully aware of everything they've said to it.

The only thing I'm not sure about is when it saw Morrow it made those weird noises to summon the Xeno. Was it just making random noises to get its attention or were those sounds a language from another creature and it knew the Xeno would respond?

This why I was asking if it could take over a synth mind or the host has to be organic.

MATH may be the universal language...but the numerals "3" "1" "4" are like Hindu/Arabic numerals not universal symbols. More "Universal" symbols would be something like "III", "I", and "IIII".

But T Ocellus knew what "3.14..." meant because it had previously inhabited an English-speaking engineer.
