Is the CPU in a socket 1150 or soldered on?

If it's socketed... Sell the i3 for a cool $100 and upgrade it to the i5 4430 for about $80 premium.

Then upgrade the ram to 8 or 16GB for about a $550 total pc...Not bad.

Knowing me I'll gut the whole thing anyway. I would stick an ssd in there as well.

unfortunately the gpu is soldered on, but everything else can be replaced

Also, where is the DVD drive? :camby:

I laughed too, but I always build my desktop with some optical drive. For convenience, and because I hate change lol. I don't think everyone needs one though.

I havent build a pc but from the little ive read I know that ram and processor be :camby: for more modern shyt
8gb ram, an i5 and everthing else thats goes with it that pars should be the minimum specs for everybody
That build is great for last gen tho, the bioshock infinite benchmark:wow:
Edit:
Might cop in a year since I mostly play 2D shyt or older 3D games on my pc.
Gods Will Be Watching, Amnesia, etc

yeah, I have one too because I have a full sized desktop and why not. but this alienware shows how much space you can save by not having one. the consoles could be a lot smaller if they'd ditch the optical drive

you won't be playing very many games that came out this year or last year with a dual core processor...

TYRONE GA!
I think he will get an Xbox one before getting a build together

Now THAT I can guarantee won't happen.

The community is my concern honestly. Too accustomed to playing on the console side with the brehs, that's what makes me skeptical on pullin the trigger.

I'm buying him refurbished parts and reflowed GPUs to keep costs down on my end. I'm building it all in an old dell case I will grab from craigslist
