Meniscus and MCL aren't the same, a meniscus repair(versus a shave/snip) requires surgery and a longer rehab
Depends on the tear, just like the MCL.

I feel all the sports are like that now. I got friends who have their sons playing in baseball tournaments in December halfway across the Country. My younger brother played soccer year round. Outdoor/Indoor all over the place just non-stop games/tournaments/seasons. Sucks that this kid keeps getting hit with these injuries though. Feel like it's going to potentially haunt/stifle his prospects.Probably an injury from overuse. How many games and camps and tournaments and practices are kids doing these days?
Basketball for young men isn’t seasonal like it used to be. It’s year round practically.
That sounds good but on the other side it’s way too competitive for kids to afford to not specialize, unless you’re the 0.000001% athlete.Probably an injury from overuse. How many games and camps and tournaments and practices are kids doing these days?

My understanding is you have be at least 19 and a year removed from HS graduation for American players. How you spend that year is up to you. Not sure what the deal is for foreign players. So he can go to the nba without playing a game in college
You mean if the goal is for them to be a pro athlete or you mean if it's for them to experience team sports and compete as well? That sounds good but on the other side it’s way too competitive for kids to afford to not specialize, unless you’re the 0.000001% athlete.
Cooper Flagg was smart. He reclassified and skipped his senior year. Was at duke when 17 and now in nba at 18My understanding is you have be at least 19 and a year removed from HS graduation for American players. How you spend that year is up to you. Not sure what the deal is for foreign players.
So it's more of an age limit than a you have to play one year requirement.
After the crash and this injury, he needs a year away from the game to get his self together
Depends doesn’t it take some time to heal if it’s a complete repair?Meniscus isn’t an acl that’s not a out for the season injury
That’s 4-8 weeks![]()

facts! thats alot of trauma to process in 1 year....bro might need to sit down and get his mind right first.
He was already recovered from the crash this is just a typical basketball injury there's nothing for him to get together outside of regular recovery and the typical restlessness players feel when they gotta sit out for a while
