I don’t think either are a need, but Liv is who he has more chemistry with and they seem to just click. Layla seems more like the opposites attract situation (which I’m not a fan of). They have to learn how to be with each other.

I say date the person that’s more like your best friend over the one that more traditional gf type IMO.

I was thinking Layla despite the issues with her moms was the more stable , traditionally popular one who could provide more tangible benefits to Spence through her career and background on some power couple deal.

Olivia while being the 'best friend' and true love, her instability and lack of a main focus like Layla would probably become an issue later down the line.
