You don't need college but you need the ability to show some sort of skill to get a good job. I was able to do that with my Air Force experience for awhile until I kept getting blocked on the 6 figure jobs cause I didn't have that overpriced piece of paper...Nevermind the fact that the college degree holding workers around me were asking me how to do this or that at all times. Experience trumps a degree in the real world but we run on a system built on bullshyt tests so you pretty much have to get a degree of some sort to maximize your potential.
