• quality of competition (more for a pro career)
  
• workout routines and sparring
  
• genetics - some ppl are built to take more damage than others for whatever reason

sometimes looking at these factors its is clear cut why a fighter might end up with some damage when they are done fighting but sometimes its just not too clear cut or explainable

Exactly...even punches that aren't to the head add up...body isn't meant to take blunt force trauma over and over...even defensive fighters aren't an exception to the rule unless they literally take no punches anywhere lol
