I've replaced everything on exhaust systems. It's all easy to do since there is no engineering know-how needed, just elbow grease.I usually know my car stuff but I'm lost when it comes to the exhaust system. Anyway, what "pipes" do you want to get? Tail pipes? Entire exhaust system? Replace rusted exhaust pipe between the muffler and the catalytic converter?
I really don't know forealI just want something that will sound like this
But without failing emissions
Good look brehOk. So, you want to replace the mufflers. Emissions test won't fail if you change the mufflers. If you remove the catalytic converters, then you'll have problems.
Pick out some mufflers that you want and tail pipes to go with it. Bring them to a muffler shop and tell them you would like them to weld the new mufflers and tail pipes together and weld the mufflers to your existing exhaust pipes. You don't need to get new exhaust pipes unless they are rusty. They might need to weld exhaust hangar hooks too. Depends if there are exhaust hanger hooks on your existing mufflers. These are metal rods that connect the exhaust hangers (rubber do-dads) from the muffler to the bottom of the car so the exhaust system doesn't shake around, but allow for some slight swaying.

Stay away from glasspack mufflers. They are unusually louder than other aftermarket mufflers and attract attention from cops to write up a simple noisy exhaust ticket.
You can go to a muffler shop and they can bend pipes to fit. They have manuals for most cars so they can cut pipes to the right length, bend them at the proper location, bend them at the proper angle, weld flanges in the correct position, weld hangers in the proper location, weld mufflers at the proper angle, etc. Most likely, they'll have coated (galvanized or aluminumized) steel.Ight I like the sound of the thrush welded mufflers. I'm not trying buy it from their site. What kind of pipes should I get?
