Thoughts on this? :patrice:
Funny thing is if someone made a list of the flaws this game has, I'd probably agree with them 100%.

But you know something?? It's still fun and addicting. At the end.. who cares?? Half the issues can be patched and fixed.

I think playing Destiny is funner than talking about it.

ask them if they still love it in 3 months. hell see if they're still playing it. This is one time "games journalism" got it right and called out a major developer for their crap. there's a reason the review copies of this game got held back until it was officially out. they knew what would happen.

Breh, stop it. Ask how many ppl were playing GTAV when the next gen dropped/major fall titles came? Of course the drop off will happen. This game will be Mario 2 status where the community comes to appreciate how good this game is many years later

This doesn't prove anything. People stop playing "great" games asap and that means nothing. halo 4 got a 90+ metacritic and people stopped playing it in droves WEEKS after it dropped.

* Roughly a year after release, Halo 3 had a 1.1 million peak population day. Reach had a 900,000 peak population day after the same amount of time. Halo 4 clocks in at 20,000 peak for it's annual checkup.

Gamers have ADHD and it doesn't even matter the score.

The outer limits
They're probably casual gamers...that is who bungie is targeting. Anyone who knows enough about marketing and gaming in general knows that this game is just a grindfest with a halo themed competitive multiplayer. It's also a MMORPG with out the massively multiplayer part. Not a dig at the game, just when you frame it for what it is, it's just not that impressive.

Majority of these reviewers played this game like all others and thats why they scored it so low. Review only servers where the worlds/MP weren't populated. Some of them played by themselves(This game does suck running solo, esp on story missions/strikes) And the game does become much more interesting when you reach lvl 20 as far as options goes. I will honor IGN review because at least they did the right thing as far as realizing the uniqueness of this game and held off a week before reviewing it

Yup, playing with a bunch of randoms in a populated server is a blast.

The whole design of this game is long term multiplayer. GTAV has an online mode but more people play it for the single player. I for one never touched the online mode of GTA.

there were no review only servers. review copies were mailed out a day before official release meaning the reviewers played this game alongside the rest of us for review purposes.
