I think what’s happening this election is great. At least now black America’s concerns are being heard and an agenda is being formed. Previously, they’d just guilt trip us to death and give us crumbs. “Vote or die” “rock the vote.” And nothing changed. Even if trump wins, black ppl will be okay. Black ppl have been surviving for centuries... when will black ppl start thriving tho? I actually don’t think those who are on the fence are stopping y’all from voting... if anything those on Biden’s side are condemning those who are on the fence. And condemning those who are questioning voting in this election. I’d rather have the Democrats lose and come back with a stronger plan and learn that they can’t just pull the wool over black America’s eyes anymore and some changes must happen...help fix the schools, trades, etc.

You know what I hate hearing when asked how will they help black America, “we’re gonna raise the minimum wage” why the hell is a grown man working a minimum wage job (especially for years)? Why not have more training programs and trades for this segment of America? Entrepreneurship? Then you ain’t gotta worry about no damn minimum wage.

1.) Why is it that Black Americans can’t attempt do anything beneficial for ourselves or strive for better without the approval of white Liberals?

We have been/are a captured vote. We vote Democrat because we have received the most recent transformative government (ie the many civil rights legislations) via that party. The Republican party has thus become more and more implicit in their anti-black stance through dog whistle politics, calls for small government etc. This has allowed the Democrats to lorde these facts over us and remain control of the greater narrative of the party. This isn't just a black problem though, because you see a similar dynamic between the established members of the party (Pelosi, Schumer etc) and the more progressive (Ocasio-Cortez, Tlalib, Pressley etc)

2.) Why do some of you condone or rationalize non-Blacks calling actual Black People “sellouts” or “race traitors”?

This sounds like some intra-forum beef which I think I know what you are talking about but I won't comment because I'm not entirely sure.

3.) I understand that many of you identify as Democrat (or Republican) before Black, but why do you cheer on the media lynching and attempted Buck Breaking of a prominent Black male figure (Ice Cube) with a great track record? All while he’s actually trying to use his platform and status to help improve our people’s current situations?

I don't approve of it. While I think his plan is flawed and needs some adjustments (which he said in his interview with Antonio Moore he is open to) he's on the record in that same interview that both campaigns came to him. He said Biden's campaign told him to "wait until after the election" and Trump's campaign wanted to use some of his ideas in the plan to "make the platinum plan better" He stated that he wants to get the plan implemented and didn't care which group wanted to do it.

The problem comes in where I don't think anyone really believes Trump's campaign has any intention of implementing any sort of substantive plan for blacks outside of using it as rhetoric or talking point. I also have a problem with Biden telling him to wait until after the election as if it's a sure thing, and given he and Kamala's abysmal record with blacks they should be doing the most to try and get black voters on their side. Essentially is just a byproduct of a poor candidate running an exclusively defensive campaign trying to sell the public on being better than Trump is enough to fix these giant problems the country faces.

Long winded I know but I hope that answers some of your questions from an ADOS standpoint. #downballot2020
