Did father Gabriel forget he had a gun when he saw neagan in that rv

shyt I mean the pure fact that Rick got the drop on an off guard Negan and did nothing but graze his leg (I think that even happened later when Rick had a bird's eye view on Negan laying on the ground but I may be wrong) should tell you enough about the invincibility frames this show gives characters sometimes

rick and them could have easily killed negan when they first arrived at the sanctuary. so could father gabriel at the end. but they not gonna get rid of negan anytime soon nor will they kill him.

A Brit show would have come up with an intelligent reason for Negan to live, instead of undermining the entire ojective of Killing Negan.

The war should have started because best laid plans went south, not because characters who are committed to killing Negan and who are excellent marksmen decide not to kill him.
