This guy pretty much sums it up, I love the show but the writers are either lazy or just not smart, which is crazy when you think of how big this show is..literally 90% of the retarded choices, actions and plans that they have the characters make or do on this show would literally take the smallest bit of thought and rewriting to make certain things make sense for the characters to actually do it.

Yep, obviously I don't want Negan to be killed that easily, I want to see this war, but these writers have to do better by not putting these characters in positions that leave viewers wide open to ask so many of these questions lol, put Negan behind some cover/human shields, show Gabriel using his last clip on walkers to survive then realising he's ran out of bullets before scrambling into the trailer...this shyt really isn't hard
yeah these holes in the script really fukk with the logic. you're right, if the war ended in episode 1 that would be fukking diabolical

I don't think the ep was as bad as some believe it to be, but I've seen many valid criticisms.
They should have never had Rick on Negan like that. I don't care how clever they thought turning the Polaroid fetish against him was, it was absolutely avoidable and infuriated pretty much everyone.
Yeah, Rick has a picture of Negan cowering. But the first question that photo poses is "Why didn't you finish the job?"
He also dug a grave to cover for Maggie's then "death," which is huge. Wouldn't be surprised if it's mentioned in upcoming dialogue, especially considering their current predicament.

I don't like the way Strand was written this season. Last year, Strand was cool, resourceful, cunning, & smarter than everybody else. This season, he just seemed kind of soft.Why were they shooting out the windows of Negan's hideout like ammo isn't limited?
Throw Strand in there. He would easily outshine 95% of the cast of TWD.
They need to bring the FWD writers to TWD.
I think they wrote him as a 2 bit con man who kept getting caught up in his own schemes.
