The belts are worthless props in this company. They’re both pushing 40. Why are they not being presented as some of the top names in the company? Nakamura especially. Since the program with AJ ended, he’s been stuck in the mid card and was even off tv entirely for a while.they're both champions
Ideally, their stature should elevate these titles but they're almost like anchors dragging them down. It goes back to The Rumble Shinsuke if he had to lose shouldn't have turned heel now Asuka should've turned. She lost her undefeated streak to someone who didn't need the rub (or if you take Charlotte serious she's such a weak character she needs accolades to matter) she should've been ripping the padding off the floor. After that she jobbed to Carmella twice, it doesn't matter how much interference was involved either, she lost to Carmella twice. Now she's in a tag team with Kairi because they're both Japanese and Paige stopped being their manager with no explanation because no one really cares.

Only WWE could find a way to ruin both Asuka and Shinsuke Nakamura.

Asuka came in as the undefeated rumble winner and got her streak broke after tapping to Charlotte
Naka and AJ match flopped when everyone had high expectations for it, then they had a series of alright matches
they never got back to the level of momentum they had after the rumble wins

Its getting to the point where Japanese wrestlers just treat the WWE like a retirement home. Lets face the facts, Nakamura's last dope match was at the Tokyo Dome 
. The last time Asuka actually had a spark was at Joshimania against Sara Del Ray. Bottom line, this whole concept of wrestler that was GOAT in (insert promotion) will become great in WWE is complete bullshyt. Let's look at KENTA. Came to the WWE and just became the welcoming mat for mid carders and potential jobbers. Went back overseas and became a GOAT as he should
