DUMB thread. when will broke people learn. its not about how much you get on a tax return. its how much you get paid on your check.

if you're getting back $5,000 from taxes. that means you need to change your exemptions, so you can get most of that $5,000 in your checks during the year. you know...so you can stop being broke throughout the year.

in addition never allow the IRS to become your savings account. they are charging you for holding onto your money. you are not gaining interest on that money they have. its a lose lose.

if you end up owing less then a few hundred, or you get a couple of 100 or you break even. thats the best place to be. anything else is a broke person's mentality of "i can't wait til my taxes come"

its tax season and i about to get a lot of money from....my Tax return. which is the reason why everyone will be tryin to claim my kid(s), moms is asking for that money she gave me awhile back.= you are about to get a lot of money back from taxes.

if you get a lot of money from your tax return. it means you did not put your exemptions up high enough to break as close to even as possible.

THINK before you reply to me. let that marinate. and you will realize i'm trying to give you a tip. something i didnt know back in the day either.

i said BROKE PEOPLE, WE need to leave that mentality of "ITS TAX TIME" getting all happy because we're going to get a big return back. if you're getting back a big return and you're a regular working class person. its because you do not know how to place your exemptions high enough to break as close to even as possible. which means what? YOu get to keep your money in your pocket all year long. that means you have more money to invest and earn interest on. or worse case scenario. more money to blow all year long.

never use the IRS as a savings acct. you're losing money. save your own money.
