People want to see marquee players in a dunk contest.
I was at the gym during the dunk contest and I was even like “why the fukk is Davis from Treme dunkin?”
The marquee names won’t do it because
1) they don’t want to embarrass themselves having a bad showing.
2) have no creativity when it comes to dunk contest dunks. Majority of star players are good "in game" dunkers.

Lebron never doing one is a giant stain on his legacy in my mind. Created this generation where the money makers aren’t doing shyt to build the leagues money making potential. They’re all out for their own personal brands now, not the league. Don’t think it’s sustainable
Stars could do regular shyt and it would do more for that contest as long as they were competing against other stars again.

This was the first year that I haven't watched anything from ASW. No dunk contest, celebrity games, and I won't be watching tonight's game. The NBA just hasn't been interesting to me this year.
ASW should always be in a major market/party city like NYC, Chicago, LA, Houston, New Orleans, etc but I understand due to the time of the year that some cities can be off limits.
