Even as a kid I preferred All that I got is you. It’s def neck & neck with dear mama, but PAC’s outshines a lot of songs dedicated to mothers.

the only others I can think of (let’s say under heavy pressure with a gun to my head) anything by Jay z & a song for momma by boys to men when there are SO many more.

Ghost's label screwed him and they helped him at the same time, by the way they handled that single.

They should have done whatever was necessary to get her label to clear Mary J. Blige for the music video. Would have raised the profile of it, gotten it more airplay or MTV and BET and could have propelled it to a Grammy nominated song.
My sister, who doesn't listen to rap, knows this song. It was supposed to be a much bigger record with wider radio play. Label blew that chance.

I guess them fumbling the rollout for the single helped him because the mainstream would have seen his success through their lens, and called him a "one hit wonder"
I saw Biz Markie's name on a one hit wonder show, and I said WHAT?
Oh, they only know Biz from "Just A Friend"
