Anyone who claims they are an Allen guy and doesn't have the same expectations you do, given The Field around him this year, is telling on themselves.

You can lose games. He can't get outplayed in the clutch of a playoff game in the AFC this year, and honestly he can't lose in the AFC. These are all teams with serious flaws, but only one team has the most consistent QB in the AFC, and that's the team in Buffalo.

We about to find out really fukking soon.

I've been wanting to crown Lamar the past three years, but by year-end it always ends up the same :francis:

When Josh took that next step last year and finally cut down on the turnovers, it was prolly the beginning of the end :francis:

Josh Allen's stats in the playoffs (13 games):

3359 passing yards, 25 PTDs, 4 INTs. 668 rushing yards, 7 RTDs. 12 fumbles

Out of all the QBs in the league, Allen is the one who I trust the most to perform and even go beyond expectations. :manny:

Nah don't do this, bro. He hasn't had a perfect roster around him, we get it. A bunch of people have worn his shoes before.

If he's really him, this needs to be his '07 LeBron or '18 LeBron run. Here is what the other QBs in the AFC field look like right now:

Josh Allen 7-6 career playoff record, 0-2
AFCCG

Rodgers 11-10, 1-0 Super Bowl, 1-4 NFCCG (hasn't made playoffs in 4 years)
CJ 2-2
Lawrence 1-1
Nix 0-1
Herbert 0-2
Maye (never made playoffs)
****outside looking in, as of today***
Rivers 5-7, 0-1 AFCCG (hasn't played in 5 years)
Lamar 3-5, 0-1 AFCCG
Tua 0-1

He's in the bracket with two geriatric quarterbacks with a combined losing playoff record, and outside of them, everyone else in the field is a combined 6-12 in the playoffs.

What this means is a few things. Only Houston and Denver have truly elite defenses, and both of them have serious offensive liabilities that may knock them out before they play Buffalo. All these other defenses, there are a fee good ones, but they are gettable if you're an Allen-level player.

If a game is in the balance late, there is a CLEAR expectation that Allen should be the quarterback to make the winning plays, these guys should not be able to outplay him. So absolutely yes, Allen should win the AFC this year.

I don't think he will, but I've been proven wrong before. If he really him, we getting ready to see his '07/'18 LeBron run. If you think he's Him, and you see this field around him this year, you should expect nothing less....it's time for him to show and prove.

For the record, he ain't the only guy with playoff pressure. Herbert has a shaky offense literally EVERYWHERE, and he's playing hurt, but he NEEDS to win a playoff game this year. He HAS to.

Lamar has a horrible defense, and he's playing hurt, but if they get in, he can't be one and done, I don't think that'll fly for him. He's still gone 7-4 as a starter this year and he's the second best QB in the field even playing hurt most of the year; I think he will be forgiven if the Ravens lose---->but it can't be the first game. They can't be one and done.

Allen is not the only one with roster deficiencies, but he is the only experienced guy who is young and healthy and allegedly "Superman". I think there are 4 NFC teams that would wipe the floor with Buffalo if they get to the Super Bowl---->but no excuses. He needs to get there.

We are about to find out if he is really everything yall nikkas say he is, its lined up well for him. Perfectly lined up? No, none of these guys have a perfect set up, and again a couple of his peers arr playing hurt ON TOP OF roster deficiencies.

We about to see if he really Him.
Brhe I hate to say it, but it's a team game, meaning:

You cant do a 2018 lebron in the NFL

Can name me a QB that has had a "2018 lebron" type season?

In 2021 Allen delivered a game winning drive... only for his defense to give up a score on 13 seconds and never see the ball in overtime. Allen was HISTORIC in that postseason yet, it didn't matter because of his defense

Thats an example of what I mean.

Obviously Allen needs to get it done. But it isn't that simple.

Not a 1:1 but Manning broke thru in '06. It wasn't his greatest playoff run but it's the one he got over the hump and validated the people who thought he was an All-Time great QB---->and that was not some dominant Colts team. The '09 Colts were better, so were some of the earlier Colts.

'07 Eli was 10-6 and nobody favored the Giants going into the playoffs, and they won 3 road playoff games and upset the best regular season, and he was excellent in that run.

There are a few others, so while not a 1:1 comp to those LeBron years, this is a year we need that '06 comeback Manning got on the Pats, or that '07 Eli run repeatedly beating better teams (especially NFCCG and SB).

We gotta see a defining run from Allen, is a better way to say it. Anything less is a massive disappointment.

Peyton had 3 TDs and 7 picks during that 2006 run. :heh:

The Bills might be like the Ben Steelers were Brady owned them and the only years they could make the superbowl is when someone else took them out or Brady got hurt in 2008.
