At the end of the day... We do need to make better music and get behind better acts..... Now, I'm not saying this is a bad song (cause I personally like this song), but look at this performance... this is horrible.... The thing is we have so many R&B acts like this now... I'd much rather see/hear/support a JT/Thicke/Bruno Mars/Ariana/Adele/Lorde/Jessie J... They'd get my money

Don't get me wrong, tracks like this are fun, but for this to be at the forefront of the scene is laughable..... We truthfully just need BETTER SONGS and ACTS....... But hey, keep backing shyt like this and complain bruhs

I truthfully don't give a fukk... It's a lost battle and too much energy involved (I have other stuff to worry about)... but just thought I should post this...

What scene is this the forefront of?

Because it sure as fukk ain't contemporary black rnb...Ty Dolla $ign is a west coast "ratchet music" act and don't worry, they'll co-opt that too if it gets big enough for long enough...

the people at the forefront of ACTUAL black rnb at the moment are the people that are dominating the actual rnb formatted radio stations (yes...there are entire stations dedicated SOLELY to rnb)

The real problem is that people like you don't really want rnb..there is plenty out there to "get your money"...you want rnb flavored pop music, and that's cool...just stop making bullshyt arguments bout it

I agree with you about all of that..... but let's be real, a lot of the acts you listed are above 30, which isn't exactly enticing to teens and early 20 year olds... They really help put artists in the forefront and keep genre's alive....

All the artist I originally listed (Bruno/Ariana..etc) are all accepted by the youth.. They have fans under the age of 25... Can we say the same for Ledisi (who is amazing BTW)

I had to neg you breh. You :cape: for the white man b? :pacspit: Kendrick Lamar is probably the most original rapper to come out since Kanye in my opinion, had better lyrics, album, and was actually nominated. IT DOESN'T MATTER. That's the message that the Grammy's sent to you. Black Jesus could have been rappin', they would have still given it to Macklemore. When the artist himself tells you he didn't deserve it, there's nothing more that needs to be said.
