Hakeem was SO much better on defense that this isn't even a conversation.

What Hakeem did in 1994 alone > Durant's entire career. And then he did it again in 1995.

Hakeem lost in the first round 7 Times!!! SEVEN TIMES :why:

Nikkas would shyt on MJ/Lebron/Shaq/Kobe if they did that :laff:
Kobe did do that.

7 seasons where he lost in the 1st round or didn't make the playoffs at all. 5 more where he lost in the 2nd. :yeshrug:

Durant honestly.

Game 7, down 3 with 2 sec left I want the ball in Durant's hands.

Can't go to Hakeem in the post if you're down 3 and need a fast basket.

I mean to me, what KD can do is just so much more impressive and taking nothing away from Hakeem because dude was nice.

But KD is like if you combined Prime TMac, Prime Dirk and T-Wolves KG.

Hakeem has the edge defensively, but Hakeem could not turn a rebound into offense like KD could.

Gawdrant and it ain't close.

KD beat the greatest player of his era TWICE, Dream not even once.

:yeshrug:

So Dream’s dismantling of the 94 MVP along with him outclassing a top 10 all timer in a series they came in as underdogs means nothing compared to a guy who had to skip town because he couldn’t confront the alpha of his team...cowabunga

Hakeem won championships where the ball went thru him. If he played bad, they would lose.

This is more impressive to me. They couldn't double him because as soon as he got it, he went into attack mode

I think this is a legitimate comparison. Now some on here got Hakeem in their top 5 but I don't rank Hakeem that high.

Hakeem the best and most impactful defender but I think KD is a tier ahead offensively (probably the best scorer since Jordan) and can end up with a better career and longevity.
