Black folks shouldn't care what white folks think. The music should have a message that comes from the real & what folks really want to say regardless of content as long as its dope. This is the main problem with the music...you not being an artist anymore...you aren't confident in who you are & what you are trying to do. The music wasn't meant to satisfy white people...it was meant for our brehs that living hard man :to: It helped us & soothed us

This is the essence...

I miss that in my rap. :to:

True, I didn't mean for what I was saying to come off as if hip hop is supposed to satisfy white people... but as a white person, hip hop taught me and still continues to teach me a lot in terms of white supremacy. thats more so what I was getting it.

no lie...I was so sickened and pissed by what happened last night I almost cried yo. These folks are robbing us blind man. This is a big terrible moment in history for rap. I talked with some OG's last night about it & it made me shiver at how my feelings paralleled with theirs on how they felt when rock n roll/blues & Dwop etc. got stolen. I just sat there feeling powerless wondering how this is still happening to my people. :sadcam:

thinking back to when B.I.G. had just dropped 'Juciy" & Pac's "So many Tears" etc....I never imagined a moment like this happening in Rap like it did last night. It was truly ours...like you could hug it. That crap last night feels so foreign. :snoop:

:whoa: naw for real tho the whole industry has been moving towards trash so it's only a matter of time that "other" people will fill in the void. The bar is so low that anyone can come in the game now, so what did you guys expect? I mean K-Dot is your saviour?:camby:

I hope Kendrick learned a lesson, a real nikka never would show up to grammies

The fakkit award show never accepted Hip Hop as art, never as a real rap artist ever won a grammy

Scarface said I never seen a man die till I seen a man cry, and he Never won a grammy
get the bullshyt outta here

yall suppose to making songs saying the fukk the grammies and fukk macklemore, and fukk the police and ho ass government
but instead yall wanna be apart of the system instead of tearing it down

wake up lil nikkaz

Y'all bigging up trap and drill music like that's a good thing, those two things should not be the last representation of black music and black people in general. shyt like that is why cacs keep taking shyt from us. They don't have to dumb us down, we dumb ourselves down by promoting and supporting that crap.

it's a genre of rebellion born out of circumstances that white supremacy and oppression created.

I feel ya breh.

But what rebellion? Blacks killing blacks? Blacks gang banging on other blacks?

Rebellion was Public Enemy, NWA, 2Pac, Ice Cube and etc. Artists like that will never happen or come again.

This is so untrue it's not even funny.

We have all sorts of hip-hop at our disposal, we have like a what 5 popular white rappers and Drake and people wanna cry murder.

it's a genre of rebellion born out of circumstances that white supremacy and oppression created.

I got a question. We've been rapping about the EFFECTS of white supremacy for the longest (blacks killing blacks, blacks flooding dope into black communities, gangs, etc) all from a glamourized 1st person P.O.V. but never have i once even heard the word "white supremacy" or "systemic oppression" in any of these raps now that i think about it.

My question is when are these trap/drill rappers gonna start rapping about ways to COMBAT white supremacy? Honestly, going by their music, it doesnt sound to me like they're even aware that their circumstances were created due to white supremacy.

Im tired of hearing about the affects of white supremacy. We're at a point in time where solutions are needed. I would like to hear music highlighting solutions
