Exactly it's like some people want to embrace the lowest common denominator in black music. People are going backwards by saying that trap music is all that blacks have left. I don't ever want to see that type of future. Blacks should be going forward and retaking black genres like jazz, funk, electronic, classic rap etc..
Those other artforms require dedication, skill, discipline, and heart. The modern black c00n rapper has none of them. All they know is to push trash in the truckloads and think that it is "real" street music.
There is some good work being done in those genres by black artists but they don't get near the notoriety as shyt like trap music does.
And thru the lens of ya whitewashed self u claimed that the Migos have none of this..
Do u know how much skill it takes to do what they do, which ofc implies dedication and heart..
Ofc since ur criteria for skill is parallel to how these crackaz gauge it u miss out on the other aspects that require skill

Being a quality artist like Nas (someone that you hate) takes thousands of hours to master and takes a lot of heart to make an album like "Untitled" in modern times. A trap rapper literally has to rely on other people to make beats and to promote them. Of course their "performance" has to be worked on because that is their ONLY incentive to keep their fickle fans.

I support the likes of Reks because he knows how to make a song while keeping it lyrical and loves quality samples. Some underground artists are unfairly shytted on, but some of them need to work on an important part of their MC skill (delivery, flow, song structure).
