I support the likes of Reks because he knows how to make a song while keeping it lyrical and loves quality samples. Some underground artists are unfairly shytted on, but some of them need to work on an important part of their MC skill (delivery, flow, song structure).
Nah.
A lot of good UNDERGROUND BLACK rappers could drop on a major tomorrow
and give us Amazing projects and y'all would still focus "Chief Keef".
Fvcking @AsAboveSoBelow is incredibly talented, he's a perfect example of what I mean, it's a slap in the face to say modern rappers are "c00ns" and they're "Ignorant" especially when POSTERS ON THIS FORUM ARE THIS TALENTED.
And thru the lens of ya whitewashed self u claimed that the Migos have none of this..

Do u know how much skill it takes to do what they do, which ofc implies dedication and heart..

Ofc since ur criteria for skill is parallel to how these crackaz gauge it u miss out on the other aspects that require skill

Which is why I continue to deem u the biggest product of white appropriation
The Migos suck breh.
And no amount of intellectualizing their mediocrity will change that.

Im just giving an accounting to why they appeal to the streets and the appeal of alot of southern trap artists in general

Nope cuz Macklemore doesnt appeal to the streets(which is essentially the origin of hip hop) so its not the same

The origin of hiphop is not trap music, it came from the east coast which you like to say is whitewashed. You disrespect the origins of hiphop everytime you say it's whitewashed.

"The Streets" once upon a time told people not to engage the negativity of the hood and to strive to be a better human being. You know, the days of Public Enemy and De La Soul and even A Tribe Called Quest that warned about the pitfalls of ignorance, police brutality, and the lack of respect of black history. Then the record companies came in and promoted the "real nikka" nonsense, stating that you had to be involved in dirt or have a criminal record to be "down with the hood" to feed their secret, sinister plot to lock up more black folk into the prison industrial complex. Bu bu bu bu but the streets say that if I go to school, I become a lame and I don't have swag if I learned book knowledge that surpasses a 7th grader. :heh:

But you DID know that already, right? RIGHT? :mjpls:

But since you love that simple, negative shyt, keep doing what you like to do. You a double agent to the mental enslavement of the masses and you don't even know it.

Go back to your lowest common denominator of music and stay there.

The origin of hiphop is from the northeast which you like to say is whitewashed. The origin is certainly not trap music.
Never said it was...im simply laying out the demographic that should be held in the highest regard when it comes to this rap sht...alot of times nikka will use this "real hip hop" rhetoric for nikkaz like Em and say rappers like lets say"Meek Mill" are the antithesis of that..

When in reality Meek mill is bumped heavy in da streets while Em was never getting play so its more accurate to say Em isnt real hip hop and Meek is because Meek appeals to the streets moreso than Eminem..and that is the demographic that matter most in this hip hop sht b

Nah. People in the streets just aint fukk with that music no more. I see you brought up Nas early on in your argument.

You kno that Nas wasnt a fan of that corny "backpack rap" too right? He openly dissed it back in the day. Haha they straight up dissed cats who went to college and tried to become rappers :pachaha:

5:30-6:00

Now obviously things have changed now. But im just pointing out a flaw in your argument. The appeal of street rap wasnt some evil smevil white man scheme to keep nikkas in prison :heh:

Its already been taken.....just look at Yung Lean, Riff Raff, and the Trap Edm movement taking place right now (even theres no rapping but still).

Just look at all those white people. You don't gotta be from the hood to make trap music anymore

But the white man took advantage of the ignorance and fueled it to his agenda. Even Nas smarten up very quick by the "Stillmatic" era and corrected the error of his ways. Some rappers of that era are now 40+ and still hard headed (Prodigy), but they broke as fukk now.

K.Dot made an album that talked about the harsh life of the gang banging nonsense and how he OVERCOME such shyt. His album wasn't catered to CACs like that, but he had some amazing records in it that not even CACs could deny.

No he made sure that the music was broad enough that cacs can enjoy..different from a rick ross who limits his music only to Black struggle and black aspirations

When Kdot speaks on struggle he speaks on struggle broad enough to include cacs which is a conscious decision

As Ive said..u'll sht on Ross but praise a cracka pandering "fck ur ethnicity" hipster ass rapper like Kdot who will shut his mouth on sht that might offend cacs

Haaaaa funny ass nikka :lolbron:
