Done.
For the same reason why I wouldn't deem you personally accountable and inherently evil for simply having a birth certificate/passport that says "American". I could list many things the United States did wrong to other countries, it doesn't make you, as an individual, responsible for it or mean you support them yourself or make you a hypocrite because you like pumping cheap gas into your car no matter where it came from or because you like some stupid expensive shoes made by child slave labor in Bangladesh. You can easily switch around race/skin color and simply use nationality instead with that line of thinking.
And please spare me the black nationalist BS, like most at thecoli, you complain, complain, complain, yet have no intention of packing your bags and leaving the society that supposedly oppress you so much. At least the first white settlers to America fled a tyrannical British monarchy. You're just too comfortable where you are and what would you do without your excuses?
The first part. Yes...I realize that these are different times and we're dealing with a different generation of people. It's wrong to hold one generation accountable for the actions of others. In that regard...the current generation of white people should not be held accountable for that cause it makes no sense.
The second part. You have followed the same suit of dismissing serious claims of injustice and wrongdoing amongst us as "excuses" and voiding our opinions as such. Why do you think people like WEB DuBois, Marcus Garvey (who was deported for trying to unite black people across the diaspora), Martin Luther King, Malcolm X, Huey Newton, Angela Davis (who went against the prison industrial complex), Rosa Parks, and others fought for our rights in this country if we were just going to leave? Because we are American just like everyone else here they knew that injustice and inequality against us was against the supposed "American way". They worked to make this country better for future generations. That's why MLK was assassinated...cause eventually the powers that be knew that what he was going for in regards to equality was dangerous to the whole plight of white supremacy in America and unifying people of all races was dangerous. Think bout that...the number one thing that the powers that be want is to divide us so they can impose their will on us and keep a tyrannical and unjust system that hurts people directly or indirectly going. There is more of us when we take off our race blinded glasses than them (us against THE GOVERNMENT).
So yes...for the American born black people of this country...leaving is not an option. Making it better for future generations is.
I'm really convinced diversity is the number one enemy of this old ractchety system that's on it's knees. The younger generations seem to be moving away from the oppressive ideolgies of the old and have to confront reality. So what's the point of leaving? Even with the injustices made against us...this is my home. If you can't admit that...or if people with your mentality don't want to admit that...that says more about you than us. Why is it that the only "real" Americans are white people and everyone else needs a hyphen? You just refuse to admit to the reality that we're just as American as you and it makes you upset. In fact, I'm probably more American than you breh.
So you say we make excuses and make chickenhawkesque retorts...you should just say "go back to africa". That's what I feel like in this context when you say "if you don't like it...leave".
Bottom line...there is a younger generation out there and children that would not benefit from an entitled generation just going up and leaving for nothing when all those people fought and died for something.
Everything else you could possibly say at this point would just come off as completely hypocritical and dismissive I don't even know if I want to answer it.
