Now if after some weeks she still says the same thing, you have to determine if she's lying. That's where the frustration comes in...they want you to keep dating while they play with someone else.

Yep. If we accept that the women in your life belong to you and women belong to the men in their lives, it creates a less free-for-fall, more respectful environment between the genders, tbh. As fewer men will be willing to take and disrespect another man's property, because they will know the punishment for theft or that type of disrespect is no joke.
